Faithful to the End

In this final message form our series "Genesis", we'll see a powerful story of forgiveness and salvation sandwiched between two deaths. These events point us to the greater story in Genesis: that God is faithful to His promise to bring about a Savior in Jesus Christ, who will forgive us of our sins and bring us safely into His presence.

The Kindness of God that Leads to Repentance

In this message form our series "Genesis", we'll look at the two elaborate tests that Joseph lays out in order to see if his brothers have truly changed, some twenty years after they originally sinned against him. In doing so, we'll consider the role of guilt and sorrow in our own lives, and how the kindness of God leads us to repentance and salvation in Jesus Christ.

In this message form our series "Genesis", we'll look at Joseph's interpretation of Pharaoh's dreams. In doing so, we'll consider the implications of God's sovereign rule over the affairs of the nations on behalf of His children.

Joseph is Forgotten

In this message form our series "Genesis", we see that Joseph's suffering has gotten worse, but God will not waste his compounded agony. Joseph will use his gifts and tell the truth amidst his hardship. Even though the outcome doesn't go the way he wants, God has not forgotten him. In this message, we will talk about what to do when suffering gets worse.

Sin, Suffering, & The Presence of God

In this message form our series "Genesis", we will see how it was not only the providence of God that was over Joseph's sufferings, but also the presence of God in his sufferings, that allowed him to serve faithfully, flee immorality, and endure injustice. In so doing, we'll learn about how practicing the presence of God helps us too.

Sin, Suffering, & The Providence of God (Part 2)

In this message form our series "Genesis", we'll introduce the story of Judah and his sin against his daughter-in-law, Tamar. In doing so, we'll see how God's providence not only uses the sins committed against us to bring forth eternal good, but also the very sins we have committed against others.

Sin, Suffering, & The Providence of God (Part 1)

In this message form our series "Genesis", we'll introduce the story of Joseph and his being sold into slavery at the hands of his brothers. In doing so, we'll examine the theological doctrine of "The Providence of God" and how it plays itself out in this story, and in all the lives of God's children.
